Volleyball sweeps Temple in home opener

PASADENA, Texas — The ninth-ranked San Jacinto College volleyball team defeated No. 16 Temple College, 25-18, 25-17, 27-25, on Tuesday evening at Anders Gymnasium on the San Jacinto College Central campus.

Sophomore Moana Masaniai (Waipahu, Hawaii / Kamehameha Schools) led San Jac’s balanced attack with seven kills. Freshman Amanda Deem (Pearland / Pearland HS) recorded 11 digs.

San Jac (4-1) next heads to Brenham this weekend for the Blinn College Labor Day Classic.
