San Jac 13th in latest NJCAA poll

A loss over the weekend to unranked Jacksonville Baptist College cost the San Jacinto College men’s basketball team a slight drop in the Division I national rankings that were released Tuesday.

The Ravens, with their 20-4 season record, slipped from 10th to 13th in this week’s poll. They and No. 12 Tallahassee (Fla.) Community College share the same season record.

Joining San Jac from the conference in the national rankings is Paris Junior College, the North Zone leader. The Dragons, who defeated San Jac by a point back on Jan. 23, sits at No. 20.

Midland College remains the No. 1 team in the country at 25-0. Harcum College, a school in the Philadelphia suburbs, is the only other undefeated team at 22-0. They’re No. 2. Northwest Florida State College, Howard College and Connors State College round out the nation’s top five teams.
